The mission of the Coastal Entrepreneur Awards is to highlight companies that help foster more entrepreneurial activity —and higher paying jobs — in the region. There were winners in several categories that were honored at the large awards breakfast held at UNCW's Burney Center this morning.
Among the winners were Jordan Watson, CEO and President of National Speed, as the recipient of the Coastal Entrepreneur Award in the Retail category, which recognized the company's outstanding growth and passionate dedication. Kurt Taylor, CEO and founder of Next Glass, was honored as the winner in the Internet category. In total there were ten catagories recognizing winning companies such as Quality Chemical Laboratories in the Biotechnology category, Cape Fear Clinic in the Nonprofit category, and Without Limits in the Services category.
Today, we celebrate with the Next Glass team as they were announced at 8:30 am as the overall winner of the Coastal Entrepenuership Awards for 2014. Their hard work and dedication to building their product demonstrates the desire they have to strive for excellence in everything that they are involved with. Although there were some great companies among the other winners in the running for this award, it is apparent that the judges made the right choice in their selection of the winner, Next Glass.
